Good winter rainfall provided ample soil moisture reserves for the coming growing season. This was followed by a cool moist spring resulting in healthy vine canopies and an excellent set. Conditions during the ripening season were mild by Australian standards and this helped to produce healthy grapes with excellent intensity of varietal flavours, concentration and structure.
