The 1992 merger of Thomas Hardy and the Berri Renmano group may well have had some of the elements of a forced marriage when it took place, but the merged group prospered mightily over the next 10 years. So successful was it that a further marriage followed in early 2003, with Constellation Wines of the US the groom, and BRL Hardy the bride, creating the largest wine group in the world. The Hardys wine brands are many and various, from the lowest price point to the highest, and covering all the major varietals. They also make outstanding Vintage Port and fine, wood-aged Brandy.
